There are no hard rules criteria for what makes a "good" post. The most important thing is that it either contains information that's useful to others or leads to a response containing information that's useful to others.

When posting a question, in order to be helpful to others and increase the likelihood of receiving an informative answer, it may help to include any of the following:

• Some demonstration of efforts already made by you, the poster, to answer the question.
• References to specific sections, text, equations, figures, etc. in the paper relevant to the question.
